This month our Village Explorers will visit Solano County's newest park,
Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi
(the name means Home of the Southern Rocks in the Patwin language).

The park entrance is half-way between Green Valley and Rockville on the north side of Rockville Road. Parking passes are available at the park, they are per car and $5. Credit cards can be used.

We will be using multiple trails, but mainly the Mule (pronounced mulay) Trail. It’s approximately four miles, moderate to strenuous. If you have them, hiking sticks and boots are recommended. There are picnic tables at the entrance so people can picnic after. Or there are restaurants nearby in Rockville, Cordelia, or Fairfield.

To carpool, let's meet at Benicia Community Center parking lot, on East 4th Street between East 4th and East 5th streets at 9 AM. Plan a half hour to get there. The hike can be done in four to four and a half hours, depending on the pace of the participants.
